The ‘SNL at Home’ What’s Up With That sketch has chaotic Zoom energy

Kenan Thompson’s recurring “What’s Up With That” sketch is a Saturday Night Live classic, but moving the all-singing, all-dancing character Diondre Cole to the show’s new at home format makes for pure sketch comedy chaos.

It’s hard not to think of a Zoom meeting gone feral as Thompson interrupts show guests Charles Barkley and DJ Khaled, who can’t get a word in edgewise between his musical interludes. At least when regular coworkers hog the Zoom screen, they don’t have Jason Sudeikis and Fred Armisen accompanying them. Usually.
