A three-pack Netgear’s Orbi mesh Wi-Fi system is $70 off right now at Best Buy. This brings the bundle down to $280. This isn’t Netgear’s latest Wi-Fi 6-compatible model, though it’s more capable than, say, the three-pack of standard Eero mesh Wi-Fi routers that more commonly sees a discount. What you’re getting here is a router and two satellites (each with at least two LAN ports) that comprise a tri-band system with which it’s able to distribute your fast internet connection to more devices without losing speed. This is a great feature to look out for, and today, you can find it in a discounted mesh Wi-Fi system.
The Asus ROG Zephyrus G 15.6-inch gaming laptop is $900 today at Best Buy. That’s $300 off the usual price. Considering the capable specs and the build quality, that seems to be a good deal. Here’s a look at the specs: it has the AMD Ryzen 7-3750H processor, Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q graphics chip, 16GB of 2,666MHz RAM, and 512GB of fast PCIe-based storage. Additionally, it has a backlit keyboard, a 120Hz refresh rate display (with 3ms response time), and among its several inputs, it makes room for a USB-C port.
All in all, it’s a much thinner, better-looking gaming laptop than what you’ll usually find at this price point.
Whether you recently picked up an iPhone SE or just need a wireless charger for your other devices, Samsung’s Duo Wireless charging pad is $51 at Amazon right now. (It retails at $100, but is available elsewhere for around $80.) It was built to simultaneously charge a Samsung-made phone and wearable, but you can use it for most Qi-ready devices. If your device supports fast wireless charging, this pad can output up to 12W. If not, it’s still worth picking up if your family has a couple of phones that need to recharge overnight.
Sony’s WH-XB900N wireless, noise-canceling headphones usually cost $250, but they’re down to $178 at Best Buy and Amazon. These borrow the styling of the $350 WH-1000XM3 and pack it into a more affordable set of headphones. Several features from that model made the jump, too, like noise cancellation, USB-C charging, and the Quick Attention mode that lets you listen to the outside world by cupping your hand over the ear cup.
If you’re coming up short on Mother’s Day gifts (it’s this Sunday), you can’t go wrong with the Google Nest Hub smart display. It costs $79 at B&H Photo right now, which is close to the best price we’ve seen. We think this is the best smart display you can currently buy if the recipient uses lots of Google services, like YouTube and Google Photos. And, if they’re really into Google Photos, the Nest Hub shines with its ambient display, which uses a sensor to match the lighting in your room to give off a more realistic look. The result is a screen that looks like an actual picture frame more often than not.
